Looking to buy a Pentax KM (not K-m)in good working order with no technical issues. Cosmetic issues of minor importance. Preferably a black one but yes, I know the crome finish is more common.

Please send PM.

Thanks,

Mats

This (my) thread is going pathetic...

Could you please stop throwing sand at each other like kindergarden and stick to the subject?

My veiwfinder is off, whether some like it or not. I certainly donīt, but I hope itīll be fixed in the near future.

Moderators; Please lock (or delete, your chice) this thread and we will all be better off. We can let the poll in the matter talk for itself instead.

Jeeez....

Shane.

No worries man. Even though you donīt have several thousands of posts, it doesnīt mean youīre not allowed to react on things you donīt like.

George.

Iīve been with this forum for a while now and Iīve seen a friendly attidude. For the most.

But when someone implify that I wouldnīt be clever enough to understand that the Pentax workshop would manage to fix my camera, I get somewhat irritated and thatīs why you got your answer. I may not have reported to you that it was sent, but as I said in that post, I was about to be by that time. You read that, but needed to tell me to send it back anyway, beacause "it wonīt be fixed on the internet", like I didnīt know better....

This is not my common style to communicate with people, wich you will see if you check my previous posts, but I draw a line.

Anyway, the camera body is at the workshop and itīs the third time Iīm forced to send it there. The first one didnīt work at all when I recieved it, so I had to get that one replaced.

I see that you carry some Pentax gear including twoK10D bodies, which I take would mean that you like them and thats good on you. But Iīm not here just for praising Pentax stuff. Iīve been using Pentax since the early -70īs and Iīm attached to the brand, but not dead loyal. I only like stuff that works properly and are trouble free. If the K10D has given me trouble, Iīm going to tell you and others about it. That will also keep Pentax up to date in terms of users feedback.

If my spelling or language isnīt by the book in this post, I can only say that my knowledge in English is limited to the English classes back in shool and I hope to be excused.

Over and out.

Why don't you take it back to the shop? There are some clever people on here, but they cannot fix your camera for you over an Internet connection.

G
Itīs already there. What made you think otherwise? See my third post.

Leaning? I think it is the SR as it varies. Can be corrected easily later on though so it is not too bad.

Still a bit annoying though.
Mine is not varying. Iīts constantly off.

And itīnot the sensor thatīs off. Itīs the veiwfinder image. Please see my first post as well as my second.

Is there something I (we) are doing wrong?

Hello
are we all confessing ?

I have noticed a number of really nice shots have dipped the horizon to the right on my DS. thought it was me but perhaps...

I would love an explanation and a way of correcting it

Dave
Iīll be sending the camera to the Pentax workshop for fixing. I really cannot stand it, now that it has become clear.

Seems like Iīll be shooting RTS, Planar 50/1.4 and Velvia to capture the fall colors this year... I can live with that.....

I figured there would be a couple of you guys who had the same issue.

SR on or off, this is how it works for me :

If I place the camera on a flat surface, like a table, looking in the V/F at something that lines up, like a window, then the window looks to be leaning to the left in the V/F.

Then, if I fire a shot, the picī (window) comes out straight.

So, the sensor is sitting ok in the camera body, but the V/F (focusing screen image) isnīt. No wonder the horizon doesnīt come out straight.

Darn, every building, tree or whatever came out leaning to the right.
At first I thought I was getting a poor photographer here and I didnīt dare to tell anyone...
