Now I've finally succumbed to the K5, I will have to part with my K10D.

In good working order... will post more details later.

BUT only with 1 year warranty as Jacobs told me that they are not Pentax Pro Centre
They told me two years! Time to check the paperwork, methinks...
I was also told two years... They also supplied me with the wrong spare battery!

I'm seriously thinking about going for the day tomorrow - and if I get the deal I'm looking for, walking away with a K5.

Has anyone that went today (Sunday) got any views on the show? Worth the effort? Best Deals?? etc etc

Well, I've done it now! I couldn't resist the good price SRS have on this lens at the moment! Guess the K5 will wait a bit longer....

Aparently it DOES take filters - attached to the hood. The SIGMA site says it doesn't take filters at all - which had also stopped me getting it.

Anyone got the lens? How are you finding it.... and are there any problems using filters?

There have been a few reports of some lenses being off-centre with the distortion. Has anyone had a problem with this?

Looking forward to some sun!!

Are there good deals to be had at this show - or is it just a trade show with no actual sales taking place?

I'm still thirsting for the K5 !

Ideally WR lenses should be used and then there is some confidence that we can actually go out and shoot in the rain.
So am I right in thinking that the ONLY WR lenses available at the moment are the two or three WR lenses from Pentax ? Guess I'll have to rely on the plastic bag and rubber bands!

I just wondered how water - resistant a Pentax camera would be without a WR lens attached ?

Is there some kind of sealing that would prevent water getting into the body through the lens ?

I would risk the loss of a non-WR lens in a rough situation - but not the loss of the camera!

Hmm... maybe that's not such a daft idea!

Just how many people out there ARE actively waiting for their K5 ? I certainly am.

I wonder which dealer would give a good price to sell 20 cameras ?

If enough potential buyers join this thread maybe we can buy a job lot at trade prices!!! (sorry SRS!)
