Thank you.

This is a reasonable crop from the original taken at 300mm. I went to fit my 1.5x convertor and when I returned it had gone.

Looking out of the window I was wondering why there were no small birds in the garden and then spotted this on the fence

I managed to get upstairs and take this with my K7 and 55-300 through an open window.

What lovely shots. I've only seen a Kingfisher once and then it was just that flash of bright blue. You're far more patient than I could ever be!

My wife and I spent a week with her Parents on their boat on the Marne-Rhine canal in Alsace, France. This amazing structure replaces a flight of 17 locks and lifts boats the 44.5m height difference in just 4 minutes. More info here

All taken in the rain with K-7 and 18-55WR

Astounding photos - particularly impressed by the Deep Space ones.

I mainly use 2 x 4gb Sandisk Extreme

I've recently just bought 2 x 8gb Sandisk Extreme to cover holiday use.

I've also still got another 4 x 2gb, 2 x 1gb and numerous 512mb cards kicking around from being used in various compact cameras over the years.

Very tempting, good exposure in sky which is often an issue with compacts.

What working ISO's can you stretch to please? i might have to buy one to go with my KR!
I haven't had a chance to test the ISO limitations yet so, knowing the limitations of compact sensor at higher ISOs, I have set it to ISO100 rather than chance the AUTO ISO setting.

These shots were taken with it in the Landscape mode.

I love my K-7 and take it out whenever I can. However it's quite a lump and I have been looking at a rugged compact to carry with me, especially when mounting biking or skiing.

I have been very lucky to have been given an Optio WG-1 for my birthday by my wife (I mentioned some time ago they were reduced at Amazon and she did the rest ).

I've only managed a little play with it so far but it seems like a very capable little camera. No manual controls but lots of modes to get to grips with.

Below are a few shots taken at the weekend. The only PP has been a slight sharpen and straighten.

Hi Nigel,

What trike is that? I'm guessing it's a recumbant "tadpole" trike.

I've always fancied trying one - but don't think I cound afford to add it to my 3 other regular bikes.

I think BBA could be as serious as LBA

Edit : DOH - just seen the last pic
