They are both meant to use HSM on Pentax (so they will only AF on the K10D and K20D) - they won't provide OS, though, within the lens.
OS? I guess that's a typo, did you mean Image Stabilisation (IS) or shake reduction (SR) as it's known on Pentax?

Have a look at the Sigma 135-400..................
Does anyone have any experience of this lens :

For me it would appear to be ideal, carrying on where my 50 -135 stops.
Yes, I have one, and it's a superb optic. I haven't used it recently but I'll try to dig out some pics taken with it next week.

Have a look at the Sigma 135-400 or 50-500 APO zooms. It's not 1:2.8, but then you won't need a mortgage to buy it either. Where lenses are concerned, long + fast = astronomically expensive + very heavy.
The Sigma i mentioned can be picked up brand new for less than you pay for a Bigma
The speed at 1:2.8 satisfies Gary's speed requirement bit it's still only 200mm at the long end. Not long enough for his intended subject.

EDIT: I should have read the following posts where this point is already mentioned. Sorry.

. . . or until it becomes obsolete.

Great camera, I have one but I use the K10D much more.

Sure. They are colorimeters for screen calibration to produce more accurate images on screeen than with 'out of the box' defaults. Colorvison produce the Spyder and the Huey is from Pantone.

Have a look here.

Welcome to the 21st Century Chris. A little late, but you'll catch up.

Tip: If you haven't got one already, get a Spyder or a Huey for even better colour results.

No luck. Unlike the hard disk, there was no option to delete the partition and I couldn't find another way.

But that is a good idea. I may have some DOS tools that should allow me to remove the partition info.

Thanks
That's odd. I did much the same thing recently when I put a FreeNAS boot image onto a 1Gb SD card. The experiment didn't work so I tried reformatting it and was left with 24Mb SD card instead of 1Gb. Disk Manager saw the partition, I removed it and reformatted, no problem. If you have Partiton Magic or similar, that might help.

From memory, FDISK is the DOS partitioning tool but I don't know if it'll work with USB attached storage cards.

Load it into a card reader on a Windows XP machine. Right click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management > select the drive and delete the 1Gb partition, then reformat in camera.

The procedure on other OS's will be similar. If you have a Mac, others here will help.

Here and here. You can order by phone from the second one.
