Portrait, definitely. To me, the landscape shot is a record, the portrait shot is a powerful photograph.

Never seen macros of snails before, these are excellent!
You should take some more if they come out again, they are incredibly interesting, and as the others said, the translucency looks amazing
They're tasty too, these are edible snails and in some parts of spain, they compliment rabbit in a paella.

Much better, I think. The second one could still lose some greenery from the left and top of the frame so that the centre of the birds body is just a bit to the left of centre frame and it's eyes about 1/3rd from top.

Giving the Sigma some exercise then?

Nice pics. I would reframe pic 1 (female) by cropping and lighten it a bit to reveal the deetail of her underside (excuse the expression), and lighten pic 3 (male). It's too black, no detail in the plumage.

Now when I get my DA* 300mm back to spain, I can hopefully show you all some very pretty birds. We have a pair of Woodchat Shrikes around at the moment, plus House Martins, Swallows, Swifts. A swallow recently gave me the opportinity of that classic swallow pic, drinking in flight from our swimming pool. 3 nano seconds wasn't long enough for me to race upstairs and get the camera though

. . . it's strange the things that catch your eye in photographs . . .
Yes it is. Where's the lens on the P&S that the lady is using?

Does anyone know what to do?
Yes, nothing.

Don't panic, it's normal. PM's will stay in your outbox until they are picked up by the recipient.

If the PM's are still in your outbox after a long time, the recipient hasn't read them.

Sorry, but I can't help any further.

I understand now that you have two broken cameras and are trying to make one good one from the two bad ones.

Maybe somebody else here knows more about the mechanics/electronics of Optio cameras. If there is, they will help, but I doubt you'll get help here. It soundslike a job for a knowledgable Penatx Optio technician.

It would help, if you mean lens, spell it correctly. It's lens, and not lense or linse. I do understand that English is probably not your first language but if you look at your last post, you have not been consistent. It helps us simple single language speaking people to understand more what you mean.

Could you please explain the following:-

Quote:

I have found out, that if I take at linse from one camera and mount in another camera, focus don't work anymore.
As far as I know, Optio's don't have interchangeable lenses (linses?), so what exactly do you mean (if this isn't a wind up)?

Regards,

Nice composition but I think you've gone way OTT with sharpening. There's no detail left.

Post another, exactly as it came off of the camera with no PP.

I'm in, and in southern spain but I occasionally get back to my old home in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire (UK) (19th - 29th June next trip).

If anybody has any issues with their K20D or (any old) DA* lens, just send it to me, I'll be happy to check it out (condemn it) .

You could even bring your problem to spain yourself, 400€ a week, €500 + fuel if you want a car to go about yourself. Now I have one spare room, with 2 single beds and one double so it could get cosy (read crowded). I'll even pick you up from Murcia or Alicante airport (extra 30€ for fuel - have you seen the price of it ?).

BTW: The pool is at 24 degrees C at the moment. The beer, 0.65€ a litre, the wine, 0,55€ a bottle and almost drinkable.

Don't all rush at once

Seriously, excellent idea Dan. If I can help, I will.
Could it be you just bought a DA*300 :
Martin.
Well you can't blame a guy for trying. I have to pay for it somehow
