Also, they look much sharper in Lightroom than they do here, I suspect the re-sizing has something to do with it.
The near static shots I took at the weekend with both lenses seem to be equally sharp.

These are some of my images from that weekend, showing the cars involved in a Time Attack race using the whole of the 3.5Km long circuit.
The two red beasts are Formula 3 Ferrari's.
The first 4 images were taken with he DA* 60-250mm lens, the remainder with the Sigma 70-200mm EX DG OS HSM lens. All were taken with the K-5 II.

That of course only illustrates how much people are prepared to pay, and not necessarily how much the lens is worth.

Anyway thanks for advise, will speak to SRS about getting it clean.
Whilst the body may have very good weather/dust/sand sealing, the budget WR lenses are not likely to offer the same protection. For that, you'd need to use the DA* range of lenses.

The WR means Weather Resistant, that doesn't mean sand proof.

Their bite is not venomous but the splinters they leave behind are to be seen to be believed.

I predict the current standalone Lightroom will eventually become Lightroom Lite ( note the price slash with LR4 ) and there will be a Lightroom Pro chained to the enslavement cloud subscription rental system
An Android powered tablet caters for 95% of my computing needs nowadays, Linux + Darktable could satisfy the remainder.
