I have the same printer Vic and I'm using third party cartridges with no problem.

What I have noticed in the past is that if any one cartridge becomes empty, not just low, the printer will not print.

Glad you got it sorted though.

hi
is there any lens out there which is similar in sharpness to pentax 50mm M 1.7 , but around 90 - 200mm fixed focal length and with macro function? and the most important thing - cheap. up to £100? I need it for product photography.
thanks.
Can you explain why you think you need a longer focal length macro lens for product photography?

What types/sizes of products will you be taking photos of?

BTW: I'd be very surprised if you were able to get a half decent dedicated macro lens for your stated budget.

is this beacuse I stupidly forgot to use the viewfinder cover?
Very likely. Light enters the viewfinder, bounces around the pentaprism/pentamirror, and although the mirror is raised, I believe that light can sometimes leak past it.

For many years, film canisters have had DX Coding, used by the camera to set the correct ISO/ASA/DIN film speed.

If you cove those silvery code marks with masking tape you usually have an alternative method of setting the film speed.

I have no experience of your camera, you'll need to check the manual to find out how to change it but there's usually a dial somewhere.

EDIT: According to the P30 & P30T manuals, the only non-DX coded film that can be used is ISO 100, there is no facility to change it.

I think this is one of the most innovative images I've seen in a very long time. Hat's off to you, brilliant.

Thanks Peter, the lens was advertised as 'fixed aperture', so obviously wrong!

That can mean one of two things:-

1: The seller hasn't a clue about what he/she is selling. Or

2: The lens is faulty and the aperture is stuck on some random setting.

Whichever is true, avoid.
