Yes. No problem here. Look for NP400 batteries. They are the same physical construction as the Pentax but often differ in electrical performance (1500mah instead of 1600mah). I think I'd draw the line a bit above £4 though. Try:-
www.picstop.com or www.7dayshop.com

EDIT: Dunno why the second link doesn't work. Web designers? ? ? It seems to be because there is a numeric in the address.

Matt 'n Hefty1, the older TTL flash, the AF140C has these features too. It has built in modelling lights too.

If you are comfortable with manual flash control, it's a cheaper option and I'm sure there will be a few appearing for sale once the P-TTL model is released.

With regard to your quest for a 'big zoom', how big do you need?

About the biggest modern zoom is the Sigma 50-500mm, affectionately referred to as "the Bigma". Sigma also have a 150-500mm zoom now too but I'm not sure of the max aperture.

I have a SMC Pentax 135-600mm zoom with a max aperture of f6.7, constant over the zoom range, and could be ideally suited to your needs. It's heavy, very heavy. At 4.5Kgs + the body it's a weighty beast but might be what you need.

The focussing mechanism relies on the contrast of the focus area. If you have trouble focussing on a horizontal edge, find a vertical one and recompose after focussing. If that fails, MF works every time.

Call Pentax UK Service department. I've found them to be very obliging.

Well I've fixed it. I had to remove Lightroom, delete all references to Lightroom in the registry, delete my local user Application settings and any other references to Lightroom on my system drive, then reinstall Lightroom. Sorted.

I'm not sure if all of that was necessary. I suspect that it may only have been necessary to delete my local user settings. But at least it's done.

Good condition FA50/1.4's go for not much less than new ones. Such is their popularity.

Try www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk for a new one. Mention your user name on this forum for free postage to UK.

I don't know about the K10d, but if you have 'use aperture ring' enabled and hold down the shutter button, then slowly turn the focus ring on a 'm' lens, when the centre comes into focus the camera takes. Works on my K110D and K200D.
That works if the camera body is set to AF-S or AF-C. With it set to MF you can take the shot even if it's not in focus.

Damn. You're perfectly correct. Sorry Mike, bum info. As BB2 says, press the button at top left of the camera back and use the front wheel to choose from Off, 3, or 5 shots, and the rear wheel for spacing.

Thanks for the enlightenment BB2.
