Vivitar 55mm, 90mm and 135mm close focus. They come in a number of aliases. Check reviews over on the PF site.

another +1 for the Tamron 90mm , mine was as good as the Pentax 100mm DFA
Don't know if you'll find one for £100 though.
There are lots of lenses that will produce good results when stopped down, it depends what aperture your going to be shooting at.

OP if you are happy with manual, then extension tubes or bellows can be used with longer lenses.
I'm guessing the products are small, jewellery? Do you actually need to go 1:1 or would 1:2 be ok?

plus 3 +1 for the Tamron 90mm
hang on...product photograph ?
the 90 might be too long then.
I use the FA50/2.8 for that.
Maybe go with dougf8's ideal of tubes on something shorter

Agree - not sure a longer macro is the right tool for product photography. The SMC50/4 M macro is a lovely little 1:2 lens though, and barely larger than your 50/1.7 until you focus close. I'd also second the suggestion of the Vivitar 55/2.8 - a superb 1:1 macro lens manufactured I think by Komine, and reasonably priced when you can find them.

How about the 50 1.7 with extension tubes if you are happy with manual?

hi
is there any lens out there which is similar in sharpness to pentax 50mm M 1.7 , but around 90 - 200mm fixed focal length and with macro function? and the most important thing - cheap. up to £100? I need it for product photography.
thanks.
Can you explain why you think you need a longer focal length macro lens for product photography?hi

What types/sizes of products will you be taking photos of?
BTW: I'd be very surprised if you were able to get a half decent dedicated macro lens for your stated budget.

Hi and thanks.
I am happy with my 50 1.7 for general shots (food photography) but often need a closeup macro type of shot.this is whete i would need macro lens or tubes. Do the tubes reduce the image quality? Could you point me at one set of such tubes? Thanks
