Try Jim's suggestion in your other post, but in any case you don't need a physical disc of LR4, only a serial number, but that'd be illegal to use somebody elses license and it's probably logged by Adobe during the registration process.

In other words, Adobe has you by the proverbial short 'n curlies.

I'd agree, DOF seems to be very narrow. 300mm on a K3 = 450mm on FF (1.5x)

Adobe changed their upgrade policy sometime last year I think. The only products qualifying for upgrades is the previous version of that product.

You used to be able to upgrade from CS2 to CS5 for example, but not any more.

So your Lightroom 5 upgrade needs Lightroom 4 to be installed first, it won't upgrade LR3 to LR5.

That said, if your disc won't autorun, browse the CD for the Setup.exe file and run that. You'll soon find out if it'll upgrade your LR3 or not.

Not sure what you mean by this.

Do you have the disc and it won't install ? or

are you unable to download the upgrade files? (which aren't a disc, hence the confusion).

Put all of the buttons, switches, and dials that have a green setting on the green setting.

Do a complete factory reset and check that everything has reset by going in to all menus and check that the green (recommended) option has been set.

Take a shot in normal daylight.
