Funny how 'weather sealed' always seems to mean to many that weather = water.

I live in Spain and shoot race cars at my local track every other week from March to mid December. In the 2 years I've been their photographer, we've had one damp race night after it had rained during the day. Yes, it does rain here, just not very often.

So to me, weather sealing really means environment sealing, because whilst we get little rain, we get lots of dust, and it's important to me that the camera keeps this abrasive out of my optics and camera.

I haven't answered the poll because there is not an option that fits my situation. Environmental sealing is important to me even though my camera never gets wet.

Manfrotto MN-200PL-14 Quick Release plates for me. I have one permanently mounted to each my cameras and lenses that need them, and Black Rapid make an alternative screw for the plate such that you can use it to fix a strap.

Added myself, unable to save changes.

Paranoia rules, so I won't be disclosing my exact location when I am eventually able to add myself.

Some more verbose instructions may be necessary, "click edit and add yourself" doesn't do it for me.

A word of caution, leather cases of old were known to accelerate the invasion of the dreaded fungus.

I'm 99% certain that the .lrcat file holds all of the adjustments and keywords for the images that catalogue refers to. I work with only one catalogue and I regularly back it up. You can also set Lightroom to check and backup the catalogue every time you close the software.

I think you'd be better off with Lightroom Louise. Those who have suggested Photoshop CS2 have said it's free but to use it legally, Adobe have made it clear that you need a license.

Also, the version of Adobe Camera RAW (ACR) that comes with PS CS2 will not handle RAW images from modern Pentax DSLR's.

Download the Lightroom trial version and give it a go for 30 days whilst following one of the many online tutorials.
