k7 noisy in live view

My k7 is being difficult, with the following issues

30 is the maximum shutter speed

Seems to take an eternity for the shutter to come down and the exposures are completely blown.

I have done a reset and the issues are still there.

Anybody have an idea as to cause and a soloution....Regards

Put all of the buttons, switches, and dials that have a green setting on the green setting.

Do a complete factory reset and check that everything has reset by going in to all menus and check that the green (recommended) option has been set.

Take a shot in normal daylight.

Do How does it behave?

Mannesty...have tried this but still taking around 50 seconds to take a shot, even in viewfinder mode and shutter speed will not go above 30.
In the custom menu(26) I have set the dial at no.1 setting that is front dial Tv and rear dial Av.

Also in custom mode no.28 "Green button in Tav & M Modes I have selected Av

I am using an M50 1.7 and 18-55WR. Regards

An M lens will only operate at full aperture unless "use of aperture ring" is set to "permitted". Then you need to manually stop down the lens. All auto modes will work in Av regardless of settings, or you can use manual exposure.

Have you also set the camera to manual focusing? Otherwise, perhaps catch in focus is not letting you release the shutter because the focus point is not spot on.

If you are using very long exposures, perhaps you are not waiting for the camera to finish its dark frame subtraction? If you take a 30 second exposure, for example, the camera takes a second blank 30 second exposure and checks the noise pattern from this, which it then subtracts from the main shot. You can't shoot again until this process is complete.

Check the maximum shutter speed in the manual.

"Electronically controlled vertical-run focal-plane shutter, Speed range (1) Auto 1/8000 to 30 sec. (stepless), (2) Manual 1/8000 to 30 sec. (1/2 EV steps or 1/3 EV steps), Bulb, Electromagnetic release, Shutter lock by setting main switch in OFF position"

Check the noise reduction settings.
"18. Slow Shutter Speed NR
Sets whether to use Noise Reduction when shooting at slow shutter speeds. p.92"

Make sure you have the eye piece blocked off stopping light entering from the back.

Hello ...the camera works fine in Av mode. With the Pentax SMC m1.7 lens (which has a yellow plastic semi ball pertruding)
But exposure time in M mode is around 35 seconds and I have yet to find a soloution. Regards
