Just as a postscript: Unless I am mistaken the lens you were considering is a Tamron CT200 (Adaptall 2) - I have one in front in me. What you really need is the correct Tamron Adaptall 'adaptor', mine is marked 'for Pentax K M'. For my sins I also have the CT135 and CT300, the adaptor is shared between the three..All work on all K mount bodies albeit as purely manual lenses. If in good condition they are reasonable but not stellar performers. A much better and cheaper 200 is the Chinon f3.3 200mm (which is a screwmount) or the much rarer CPH Phase 2 f3.3 mm. (They are in fact the identical glass in different bodies).

I did a few years ago , as my first non kit lens for a K 5 ii , buy a new SP 70-200 mm but never got any joy from it. Probably because it was too much to master as a new shooter & for sure heavy as heck on my travels. So sold it pretty soon after but also I did buy to add a tele convertor from a PF member which has never been used since & seems a waste not to recycle. Any chance , you have them its Tamron teleconvertor model F 2X Pz -AF pz BBAR MC7 ?
Otherwise, might sell it with a few other items I now wish to clear out

Luckily Patrick's post gave me just the excuse I needed to post yet another picture of one of my hounds . Little Ripley is four now, where did that time go ?
I made a bid and bought the one you flagged today for a great price too. Thanks again I appreciate the steer from those members better able to judge the legacy lens performers & its a learning curve i am on
