An amazing collection - do they all get used??
Which begs the question - what was the camera/lens you used to take the photo???
Cheers...John

That's an Aladdin's cave of kit! What sort of work do you do Geo?
I saved for years to have this collection. The FA* lenses means a lot to me.^v^

Oh no, I just lost my post due to wrong keypress ...
Anyway, thanks for support and kind words from everyone. Thoughton is spot on - actually this particular place is a modern one and they have surveillance cameras I hope will reveal something. Unfortunately, the police seems to be more intent to question me rather than finding a thief. I have been under attack all day. Not nice.
Sooner or later I have quite a story to tell.

Interesting mixture of stuff. Two 50-135s seems excessive though!

Thanks! It was not a youth hostel and I never wrote that. Apart from that, You obviously haven't been to Cambodia (or Laos) bc then you would know that the distinctions here are not clear cut: A guesthouse can be a much nicer place than a hotel. Why make patronizing remarks without double checking you have the facts correct. I believe this was a pro thief, and if he targets You... He broke in through the window.
This was actually one of the better places I have stayed at. Now, that is the way I travel (by bicycle) and the places I travel to. Before I left I decided I was willing to run that risk. I see plenty of tourists in particular Thailand walking around looking paranoid and looking with discuts at the local food and clutching their bags soon as they have to leave the airconditioned tourbus to visit some location. I know I expose myself, but that is the way I want to do it (and the money saved buy replacement gear in the end).
Now I am off to see the police.
anyway hope you have luck with the police. and now you have a reason to upgrade to a K5.

How ironic that just today when I pop by to see what's up in Pentax-land I have my camera stolen (k7 + 43ltd). I am now in Cambodia (in Siem Reap near Angkor Wat) and both here, in Thailand and Laos I have had zero problems so far. Siem Reap is a sh!thole, though, but I thought the guesthouse was ok.
A bit of detective work from my side revealed the culprit - a Cambodian guy! He has left his room with his stuff ...and my camera. I would not be surprised if this is how he makes a living - staying at guesthouses and see if he can get his hands on a few items from tourists. If the rumours about how things work here are right the police might even be involved - lets see what they say tomorrow! I got his name from the guestbook, but that could be made up.
I am free to change system now Worst thing is I don't have a camera for the rest of the trip.
Good luck

But then it would not actually be small, it would end up another me-too NEX-sized beast. (And they are rumoured to be announcing just such a camera later this year).
But if you want something like that, you can just get an NEX and a k-mount adapter.
Look at how small the FUJI X100 is. I have one and it fits in my pocket. I wish the X100 has a fix 24mm lens which I wish I can change to something a little longer sometimes.
So if pentax Q with APSC sensor match with Pentax pencake sytle lens would be wonderful.
Thanks

Just put it on ebay man. I know it has expensive fees but look at the K110D that I just sold yesterday.

Your K100d worth more than £120 man.
