I bet it's made of exactly the same stuff.
Maybe I have stickier nose grease than you!

I've now received and fitted one of these soft plastic protectors:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130161855418
It is very clear and easy to apply, and does not mark the camera at all as it sticks by vacuum rather than adhesive, BUT any grease you get on it shows up badly and is hard to remove.
Without a protector, the bulk of any grease can be removed from the camera's LCD screen just by lightly wiping your finger over it, then the rest easily with a cloth. Not so with this protector.
Therefore I cannot recomend this product - except perhaps to those with very small or totally grease-free noses!
However the versions for mobile phones are fine if you're not in the habit of getting the screen greasy.

I always think the pop-up ones would be a pain, as if you wanted to check the histogram quickly, you'd have to pop the shade up, have a look, then put it back down again before the next shot. I suppose it would put an end to constantly glancing at the LCD, but for the times you want to refer to it briefly, it would just get in the way IMHO.

I am not real happy to have sticky things on my LCD, so looks like it will be a Giottos, best compromise I think.
Merci beaucoup

This has probably been done before, if so, point me in right dir.
I want to buy digital cover LCD screen protector for my K10D,
I have seen the cut and stick types but also the hard rigid plastic ones, any recommedations please?
cheers, Lilly
I wanted it more for its shading abilites, as you know its difficult to see the screen when in bright sunlight.

But, I am sure I have seen other photographers with DSLRs that have a rigid plastic protector attached to their screens, but can't seem to locate them at all.

Do you still use the 17-28mm ?
Like you it was never off the Z1, 'tis true it was/still a cracking lens and superb optics...I adored it, but, was so gutted when I realised the loss of wide angle with digital.
I have on occassion used it, but not as much as I should, especially since the 10-20 arrived, I must dust it off also I tend to get sidelined with new toys!
thanks, Lilly

A) £6?? Expertshield (but website is very very SLOW & frustrating)
B) Giottos
Made a mess of previous reply, picked the dummy, getting very confused!
