Apologies karmazyniello, it is still a very good shot all the same, well done again

Love no1 Don, superb shot, you have gotten the mood of the moment across

How very kind of you and what a perfectly delightful combination, mono + snail, I will pass on your wonderfully well captured and flattering portrait to the snail fraternity.
I am sure they will be delighted to know I am not the only snail supporter! I love the angle and crop too, well done that man a truly original shot!
As to certain persons mistaking slugs for snails, one can only pity them
Have a nice day, Lilly

I like no1 the portrait format suits it well, nice texture, perhaps a shade under exposed tho'?

First of all congrats to Chirpy and the contenders and thank you for the kind comments on my snail.

However, I feel I have to take issue!

Having read through all the judgement now . . . how can you say 'I feel that the snail plays too much of a supporting role', when you gave highly commended to a fly, and McBrian's 'insects'; not to mention second and third place to ladybird and butterfly!!!!!

That is blatant discrimination - the relevant authorities (Snail Liberation Front; Royal Society for the Protection of Snails . . . ????) should be informed of this!!!!!

And anyway, if one wished to be pedantic, the subject was 'wildlife' - snails are wild, and they are life!

I demand a litigious response!!
