There is the cheaper split screens being discussed on the Pentax forum in the US they have found this one, just as good as the Kateye.
The AF points still show up, AF still works etc. exposure works fine except in spot which is the same for the Kateye costs just over £20

Yes I agree but if it is focusing in front you wont get infinity focusing and this is what was happening with the Nikon.
At least with the K20D you can adjust it your self
since I adjusted mine it is fine could not be happier with it works like a wide angle should do lots of DOF but before even at f22 the distant horizon was way out when it should appear sharp

With a Nikon D2X that I used to use, the focus was out which equated to 5% error. Up close it was fine, but distance caused problems as did longer focal lengths as the error gets magnified. This had to be re set by Nikon and took over two weeks.

Manual focus however still worked 100%

You can get a lens test at http://focustestchart.com free and i found my lens was front focusing...This caused the detail at infinity to be out, even at small apertures

do some tests mine needed -8 and is fine now

Note if you use SR there is a delay for it to stabilise, so I don't normally have it on unless the light is turning low

you are correct this is wrong all the talk of sharpening confused the issue
IT is bicubic smoother for upping the image size or res

Are you supplying Alamy?
The first thing if you shoot in RAW you will need to sharpen
The final sharpen is for the output, but stock agencies will not know what that is, so they should look slightly soft as opposed to being over sharpened.
Also Bicubic sharper as you are upping the res Also alter DPI in 16bit mode not 8 then convert after

I have done A1 prints using the K20d, 24-50 hand held at f8 and 1/10th sec at iso 800 and they are sharper than the ones you have shown me, so the kit can do it, but a tripod does help a lot! Did you wait for the shake Resistance to kick in?

Have you tried the Image file it does it all on line and you can set it up to use any print house you like, customer just goes to the website and orders, all paperwork branded as your own and prints go direct to customer.
They can be password protected as well, ideal for kids and parents, the school issues the password and protects children at risk etc.
