RR, there is a a bit more detail under the roof but I wanted the high contrast look. (The colour version of number 1 looks fairly flat and boring to be honest)

I suppose I could play about with these with a bit of fill or selective HDR but I don't do much post processing as I haven't really got the time ( or experience if I'm honest). Same reason I haven't fixed the corners of the colour one yet. Thats why the B&W is slightly cropped - it's quicker!

I think the whispy clouds in the B&W number 2 are what do it for me. It just puts a bit more interest in the top left compared to the colour one.

Barrie, I think it's just that the polarizer is almost twice as thick as the normal filter so it shows in the corners at 12mm. I don't have a UV filter for this lens yet but some people do recommend buying the (expensive) ultra thin type, others say it isn't necessary. But the front element does stick out a long way so I'll feel happier when the UV filter turns up.

I think going a bit wider on the left of number one would have helped.

Thanks for looking.
This is my favourite. I like it alot!

[quote:3496ace15f="Lance B"]There are wonderful beaches to swim at all along this particular walk. On a summers day, it is really sensational to be able to just jump in and cool off.

My son visited Manly a few years ago and on one of his beach days he leapt in the water, and leapt out again. He met a particularly nasty jellyfish and he still has the scars to this day.
Ouch. Must have been a bluebottle. Not nice.

Cracking blues on this series. The polariser doing it's job well. I wish it was bright enough here for a polariser !
Thanks for the nice comments, Bob.

I am a sucker for the saturated look that the polariser gives, like that of the slide film days of Kodachrome 64 etc.
