Sometimes I get a yearning for a camera like my old MX or my P30, nice and small, and classic looking. With a Pentax M or K prime lens they look and feel the business!

I wonder how I would cope with my DA50-135mm attached to such a small, grip-less body though?

To be honest I think the K5 / K50 size is just about right and could even go a bit bigger (K10 size).

Happy to go with something smaller specifically for using MF prime lenses (currently the NEX system fits the bill), but I wouldn't want that as my main camera really.

I was recently in a similar boat and decided to go the way of a Gr, with the wide adapter, I just don't like the current offerings if you stick anything bigger than a 50mm on them, they look unwieldy and feel very out of balance, Something with a bigger grip would be good, I'm hoping Ricoh Pentax do something in this segment before I've got my Gr money saved up, Well you never know. I would like something suitable for those MF bargains, as I can't see me buying into Limited's any time soon...

According to a Ricoh IR presentation:
"As a result of transformation of the camera business, we established Ricoh Imaging by integrating Ricoh and PENTAX. We are forecasting a profit for this bus@iness within this fiscal year."

"In the other segment, we will continue to pour resources into Digital SLRs, Mirrorless cameras and Ricoh’s conventional high-end compact cameras to make this into a solid business. We are seeing an increase in share and expect healthy growth."

"Digital SLR (single lens reflex) cameras, mirrorless SLRs and premium compact cameras are very popular, and selling well."

Can't see much of a future for traditional point and shoots, unless there is a phone in there too, The Camera Companies need to get on board!
DSLR's are big and there is a backlash to this amongst the kids, they love Large sensor compacts, Nikon 1's and in the far east even the Q.
Mirrorless 2x sensors are not much worse than APSC and there is a bit of movement over to that too, the demographics are different, though. Young uns are buying into the Nikon 1 system, et al, cos it's light and funky, Old uns are buying into M4/3 because it's light but still regarded as serious kit, Pro's are still buying FF but it's never going to be more than about ten per cent of the market. Which leaves us, the Pentax User in the the squeezed APSC middle, up until now, 90% of DSLR sales have been APSC but because of the new formats that share is shrinking. I think it'll eventually even out though but the share of the market that has traditionally been only APSC DSLR will be smaller, there's just more choices...

Hey, don't shoot the messenger bud!
I agree with you here, I was wondering what Otto focus was?
Maybe Zeiss's version?
Well I suppose it it the Highest K series but it's kind of obvious I suppose, maybe designed for our mates over the pond, so they can get a few "Awesome" and "In the Hole" and "Blown Away's" in while they are watching the Ad?

You do realise that you can't shoot a Hare running head on with a Pentax don't you?

Great shots!

Ta each!

Still wondering where the Autumn is up here but it's turned colder, so I eventually may get some autumnal leaf colour, or the lot could just fall off in one weekend!
