Many thanks for the kind words! I will try to be more careful in future

More importantly I survived the ear bashing I got from my far better half because I had endangered myself. "It wouldn't happen if I was with you, because you wouldn't have been allowed to be up there!".

And my Mother too who just referred to me as "A Bloody Fool". Thanks Mum...

Can anyone explain to me how a photographer can take a shot of a living, breathing dog, swap cameras and then take another from exactly the same location, without the dog having moved a hair?

Thoughts? Is this a spoof?

Andrew
The viewpoints are very slightly different - guess both shots were taken side by side simultaneously.

John K
The viewpoints are pretty much exactly the same and I agree with Andrew, there's something odd about this comparison.

I have two dogs and it is of course possible to get them to "lock on target" by holding a treat up, but I know from experience trying to photograph them like that they will move if you do something in their peripheral vision like moving or swapping a camera.

EXIF has been stripped from these pics. I do not trust them
Page updated Smeggy, seems genuine enough to me...

If you edit the post ( within the time period ) and add 2 or 3 line returns between each image tag it should fix the problem
Tried it Smeggy but it didn't work for me but I see it did for you!
I'd just like the thread canned!
John obviously needs to sleep Smeggy unlike us eh?

Lot of photos there Jules, would appreciate a gap inbetween each one so that I could look at them properly
Would love to oblige Mike but currently my PC does not like Pentax User, not at all in fact! The site just hangs, all other web pages are fine but not this one, If I try to upload pics (One at a time, Oh come on!)They come out in a totally random order, the post above they are pretty much in reverse! Also they are ending up interspaced in the script and not where I wanted at all, I'll just not post until I can get to the bottom of it and John, if your out there, could you delete this thread for me and I'll re-post some other time...

Wuhoo, got out to the lakes on Thursday for sunrise, Great day, the only good un for a few weeks, completed by falling 25 feet down a slippy slope (Not for the first time!) Bruised with a very sore knee but unbowed! My own fault anyway, I knew it was risky with Camera in hand and should have thought on, I fell like a drunk and kept my Camera in the air like a drunk would his pint and never spilt a drop! All I could think of was there goes my K3 trade in! Hit the ground with a wind sucking dull thud but all I could think about was that Camera, the K3 better be worth it...
An hour and a half to get up to Dock Tarn but nearly three to drag my sorry carcass back off the hill!

All with the K5IIs and either the 16-50 or the 50-135.

Just a rumor but why not stoke the fire!

Sounds like a disgruntled fanboy fantasy to me though...
