Dear god, and there was me thinking that there was no more of a muppety reviewer than Kai.
I love Kai, but "Blunty" was truly dreadful. I lasted 1m:30s
To an extent they are all what they are, Kai is naturally irreverent about everything except his Leica M9, which he likes to flaunt in your face because he knows it annoys pretty much everybody really.
Blunty is pretty much your average straight talking Aussie, fairly articulate but very much with his own driver, wants to get his point across as quickly as possible and not afraid to use six words when two will do.
I like em both, you really have to try Spiros to appreciate what annoying really is, I just want to break off every part of him that keeps moving which is pretty much everything!

To be fair Jules, whilst some have increased in price, some have reduced.

It's never a stable situation and prices move up and down all the time.
Well the only decreases I see are the old green ring DA's that they are trying to shift out before they get the new red ring ones (HD).
The SDM's have all shot up most by a hundred quid or more, except for the 60-250 which has gone up double that. Don't get me wrong it wouldn't dissuade me from buying any of them but it will make me look at the competition more and no doubt make do with less in the long term, which may be no bad thing. I think the 10-17 Fisheye has stayed the same and I am thinking about one of them but wondering how much I'd use it since I have the siggy 8-16...
I think that SRS may not be getting cut the same deal as they used to be by Ricoh, which makes sense as they are trying to reach a wider audience with more stockists, which makes it up to the indidviduals to cut each others throats...

Guess I'll be getting what I need from the classifieds then...

He talked sense and had enthusiasm Chris, without any silly antics and time wasting.

Blunty seems a bit of a personality, but no worse than anyone else with a strong personality. He's keen.
Well I approve of enthusiasm, but not at the expense of credibility.

Personally, I wouldn't call it a review, it was unalloyed gushing, and any kind of review that doesn't at least comment on the biggest achilles heel of Pentax cameras, namely the AF, calls into question the attention to detail of the rest of the review.

The Camera Store one was just as enthusiastic, yet tempered with enough objectivity to remain believable.
Blunty likes Pentax! He shoots a Q and an MX1 but shoots off brand (Not to be discussed here!) for DSLR and Mirrorless, He comes at things more from a video perspective being a bit of a videographer, he gets to review a lot of gear and seems genuine enough to me! I don't find him nearly as annoying as some, at least he's actually picked the damn thing up before he's shot his gob off!
As an example of something really annoying, try to get thru this guys Vid.

From Roger Cicala of Lens Rentals Fame (Look it up!)

"Glad to see the review.

At least he liked the K5 and DA*300
He actually meant the K3, so to clarify, Roger Cicala's qoute should read:

"Yesterday I took a K3, D7100, and 70D, each armed with a 300 f/4 lens out back and took a dozen shots with each. Came back inside looked at the images for 10 minutes, and placed my K3 order immediately. It wasn't close."

Thanks David/Smeggy! I have to admit that I have never shot above ISO 800 in my life, even when I shot Nikon as a Pro but it's good to know these things in case I ever need to. That being the case before I did I'd be buying another IIs to replace the one I had to let go recently but stop posting stuff like this as I want the price of the K5IIs to actually fall a bit!

These look great Jules, very clean. Do you think the K-3 has a warmer colour balance than the K-5? I think it does and I like it.

Yes David, I do and +1 on liking the warmer feel too, especially for autumnal Landscapes, might not suit snow so well, which may need some fiddling then.
So far I'n loving it, I'm still feeling guilty about parting with my K5IIs, as I'd have liked to have run em together, as you are doing...
