Wow Kris number three is a stunning shot!

Welcome indeed...do enjoy the forum!

Followed your link and really liked your work!

welcome Rab...glad Santa found you!

I have a wee confession...photo number five was actually taken on my camera by my son..he was driving me about, for this winter photo shoot, at this location he reached for my camera and 'snapped' the favorite photo in this group of pics...I changed it to B&W in google picasa(which is free!)

Thank you everyone....interesting enough, the trees are not really iced up in the pictures...they have a soft dry snow on them....if you bumped a tree, you would get snow-dumped....here are a few pictures to show you what I mean....

and one more as close up as I can get with my humble K-m and my lens kits

This is what snow is like when it is cold and dry..it is like a powder.

Northren Alberta....It has been extremely cold...between -30 and -50 ...just before xmas it warmed up to -10, and when the temp goes up, usually the snow comes down. Here are my 'North Pole New Year Photos'

I look forward to seeing them Stefan!

Yes the horse was a striking photo...I loved it!!!
