Found this site quite by accident. And just bought a K20d, so had to join. Hope to learn a lot. I am really into photography, and want to advance as far as my pocketbook will allow.
I am a police detective by profession in a smallish town in Idaho. Low crime-rate, so plenty of time to take pictures. LOL
Pentax K-5, Tamron 17-50, Tamron 70-300, Metz 50 AF-1 flash, and working on buying more lenses in the future. It never ends.

Thanks everyone! In looking at your lists of cameras and lenses it looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. So far, I just have the kit-lens 18-55 II and just recently picked up a Pentax 50-200 for a song on Craigslist. (oh ,and also bought the Pentax 360 flash). I took the 50-200 out to the park and got some amazing shots of birds. Amazing, at least, to me at this point. Very exciting stuff, though.
And very exciting to be on this great forum. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the forum, after a while you start to think about whether you need another body/lens/bit, it gets addictive using new and old Pentax equipment.

But hey it's legal and fun so...
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

Welcome James,

you definitely are catching up on gear , don't worry, you will be there with a huge load of kit on that bag, so if you haven't invested in a bag be assured that you are going to need a bigger one rather than a small. . This site is addictive and very kind and helpful people around. They will show you the ropes and give you the proper guidance and will help you invest well.

I started with just the kit lens and had bought the KATA 3N1-20 and within months became redundant.

We look forward to seeing your images, so dont hold back

Amin
