Darlene, Your photo was amazing...it took my breath away. I know that you were traveling this week from the PM I recieved from you last week and can see from your photo that you are at the Grande Canyon in the USA.
I will assume that you are not home yet...as I am certian that we would have heard from you.

I guess where this comp is a Fortnight, a day or so late will not matter to much. Having said that, I do hope that you give us a new upcoming topic soon!

Isaac's Treasure




When my son was ten years old, he found this on the beach. He stained it, polished it, buffed it, and entered it into a couple of art exhibition, under "Child Crafts". He won first place in both exhibits.
At that time a gentleman offed him $100 for the animal cane. Isaac would not sell it. During his teenage years whenever he needed money, he would often look over at the driftwood piece saying; "Why didn't I sell that?". Isaac is now a young man married, I have no idea what he thinks of this impressionist driftwood piece.
It stand beside my fireplace and I might add that it gives me great pleasure as I think about it's wonderful tales of success and regrets.

I have owned my K-m since April 2009 and it DID have a terrible fall a few weeks ago. The live view is okay. The fall effected my auto in the lens.When it is extented all the way out, it will not retract!

I did look into the cost of repair...at least $200 to $250, and in my opinion, that is about what it is worth if I were to sell it. I plan to keep on using it, and will keep my eye on the Canadian market for a second hand K20d, and try a bigger gun this time

Too bad about your project getting bumped, I would use my free ticket for my warrenty, if I were you.

Yes I have read the thread just now. Please understand thatI had no intention of upsetting you or the few others whom were disturbed by this.

It is just that I had some sit down time, and thought it would be nice to add my welcome to the newcomers. I REALLY HONESTLY thought that it was something that this forum WANTED. I do not have the time each day to do so....I saw it as a sort of catch-up.

I LOVE the forum. I also can honestly say that it was encouraging when I first sought out the forum to receive the "welcomes'' I have at time expressed more then "Hi, welcome and enjoy the forum". Especially if the "user" has shared something of interest with me....owns a K-m or is from Canada, or something I can instantly relate to...

So with all this expressed, I do trust that one can see that my motives and objective was not in any way meant to be, nor cause damage, and or upset to the forum....others ...nor even you, Mannesty.
