Congrats to all our winner especially Karma...now you get to be the JUDGE

Yes I did think mine would be a hard one to judge....I just could not come up with an idea so I decided ....."some kind of an idea is better then no idea at all"

My favorite one was alexfilipov, holy man. I found that the detail was exquisite, and I wanted to look at it and look at it and look at it....there was something that just drew me in.

Thany you for your time and comments Mr Judge!!!!

Regards; JA

I just put out a search for a 200 year old human....no luck. However I was wondering if 100 year old twins would do:wink

Man, I am looking for the unusual.....if I have no luck I do have older photo of something that is aged...me!

Photo Of: Hofmann's Head of Christ

Tonight I took a photo, of a print, of a painting, by Heinrick Hofmann(German Artist, 1824). It was called, "Christ at Thirty-Three". The original hangs in Riverside Church, New York, USA.

I found out how challenging it is to photograph a print and retain the colours and details of that photo....try it sometime, what a lesson it is!
Here is the copied frame print that I photographed

Fantastic Judging Hyram....thank you very much for that. I do agree with you that my photo was more about the little man and less about the door.

Congratulations to all the winner especially Utopia Poppy on his first win!

I now await out new topic!

Condolences to you, and your family Geordie. There is nothing on this earth like our Mums.

Congrats to my fellow contestants whom I share the podium.

It was a really fun photo shoot. My photo was untouched, except for a wee bit of shadowing. I simply wrapped a black cloth around a handful of straws to hold them somewhat upright..(thus the ones falling out of the photo)...and did a birds eye view shoot.

It gave some real cool effect...both with the natural light, and the flash. Never knew straws could be such a fasinating photo shoot subject.

I enjoyed this topic...thank Geordie.

Hey everyone, remember the weekly comp can be from your archives.

Take a look, you must have a photo or two of nature breaking through.

I think it is a fresh and new topic....lets go!!!!

I do not believe being last has advantage for receiving more wins....In fact, having judged many comps, I dare say I agree with Glyn...being early means you do get to be more orginal and have a head start on Wowing the judge. If someone copies your idea...it usually does not hold the same impact.

It is often the first few "WOW" photos that I often hold the 'others' up againts. There is just something about that first photo that comes in, when it is bang on topic, and what you were hoping to see when you choose your competition.

Having said all that....I better get going!!!
