Yes picasa by Google is wonderful....I have lightroom which I do enjoy, but I still use Picasa a lot...and before I owned lightroom it was all I used.

Please do not get too oppositional

I think this Comp will be fun to do....lets get entries in nice and early. and invite 'others' from the forum, who you know, to have a go at this one!
I would love too see their ideas on the topic.

This Competitions runs from Sept 1st to Sept 30th Midnight:
All usual rules apply (see fortnight rules).

This Monthly comp is going to be about opposites and only two photos will be required.

The two photos can be presented together in a true diptych form, meaning both images are in one image(frame), but it is NOT a requirement, as you may also present them in two separate images( frames.)


One image can be used from your archives but ONE MUST be taken within the time frame of the comp.(even if you combind the two images into one frame)

I have included ideas to give you a sense of what I am looking for...please feel free to use any idea on the list or come up with your own opposites.

The starkness of the opposite is what I am looking for; as well as the quality of your photo. Creativity is welcomed and photos can be PP.....Most of all,

LET HAVE TONS OF FUN. Please remember to include a TITLE

#Long hair/ short hair
#Young child /Elderly
#Happy /Sad
#Decade/ Fresh
#Rain / Sunshine
#Pollutions / Clean
#Macro /Wide angle

Thank you.....I almost did not enter, as other pressing matters were, well, pressing.

I had said that with the extention of an extra month, I would enter.

I have absolutely no idea for the comp....and I have just opened my mail. I will put my thinking cap on, and post something soon.

I will try to make it fun and hopfully we can spark more interest as I feel the entry levels very low.....

Sorry too, I am away and could not judge nor run a comp, so I therefore did not want to run the risk of entering(just in case I won:shock...but if we have another month, things should slow down once I return home...and I will find a shoot for the comp.
