Somewhere in there there's the scariest Easter bunny I've ever seen. Honestly, it's like something out of a horror film. Genuinely terrifying picture.

You will be able to use the lens in "A" mode but only at f/1.7. To use it at other apertures, put the camera in manual mode. You can use the green button to meter, but in my experience of the same camera and lens combination it will underexpose by about 2/3 of a stop.

I've been keeping an eye on this since the beginning of summer. It's hilarious and terrifying in equal measure.

There are a few that have come down in price. I notice the 645D is only 5500 for the body only. Not that I can afford it but it's fallen a huge amount.

Carl Zeiss 35mm F2.4 Flektogon MC , fantastic glass for not much cash
These go for around 150 quid on ebay, which ios pretty expensive for an old manual 35mm. I have read that they're very good though.

My best buy goes narrowly to the DA 35 ltd for it's sheer IQ, especially the portraits it's provided. It's a close call with the Tammy 17-50 though, which is the most flexible lens I own and is therefore extremely valuable for travel.

Sounds like a good deal, Well done in choosing a fast fifty over a tele zoom, I think it's much more useful.

I don't own a K-m, but I did thoroughly research it before I bought my first DSLR, and I'm simply trying to help the OP with his query. I'm sure the K-m can produce great photos, as any camera can in the right hands, but there's more to choosing a camera than that. I think 180 is on the expensive side, therefore I think the OP could get a better camera for that price, or a K-m for a lower price. 100 seems like a good deal, certainly.

The only thing the K-m has going for it is the sensor, which is the same as the one in the K200D, and it is superb at low ISO. So, having said that, I'd recommend a K200D over a K-m any day. I remember my rush to locate a shop that still had K200Ds in stock when it finally became clear they'd been discontinued and replaced with the K-m. I really didn't want a K-m.

Yes, this K-m comes with a couple of lenses, but the OP already has a Pentax SLR so almost certainly has a kit lens. They're also the DAL versions, with all that that entails.

I'm glad to read that it appears I'm better off with my Katzeye screen. But focus peaking doesn't cost an extra 100 quid or require shimming...
