The K-m is a few years old has been superseded by the K-x, K-r and K30. The K-m is also not as good a camera as it's predecessor, the K200D, with which it shares a sensor. It may be an upgrade from an IST DL2 in some ways, but there are far better Pentax DSLRs available and 180 quid for an old, low-specced camera is too much in my view.

Try them both yourself and then decide. I have the Tamron and it is a superb lens.

This was online a couple of months ago. It looks good, though large, and will likely be very expensive, probably along the lines of the 85/1.4.

flickr is very often slow and refuses to load images. I've never had big problems uploading though.

It seems to be the best camera in it's category, especially if (like myself and many others) you are not looking for DSLR video.
