DA 70mm received, well packaged and in excellent condition, now residing on my K200D.

Everything about the transaction with Will was swift and easy, and I'm very happy with the new lens.

This is why I would never buy an SDM lens unless new, with a two year guarantee.

I've read a lot of comments to the effect that the motors have to be moved once in a while. Even if you don't use the lens for photography, every week or two you should mount it, move the focus ring and engage the AF a few times. It can also help to manually move the focusing ring every time before use, to make sure it's not stuck.

That's all from the many (many) comments I've read during my four-or-so years as a Pentax user.

Sorry to hear you're no longer using Pentax gear. I hope you got something decent with which to continue photography.

We're a gear-hungry bunch so doubtless you'll be able to get rid of the left-overs here.

Manual lenses are great fun to use, much more rewarding than modern ones and can provide excellent photos. I don't know that any of the ones you've been given is very highly regarded though, but I'd recommend trying them out to see if you like the results.

I think I prefer the old green style DA limiteds. It also means if I eventually get around to buying the 70mm it won't match up with my 21 and 35.

It also bothers me that they no longer state "Pentax" on the top.

It's about time Pentax updated their flashes, but I won't be buying one any time soon at those prices.

I don't thjnk the presence or otherwise of air affects films the way it does food. Temperature is the important factor. Zip-lock to keep cardboard boxes from going soggy is fine.
