Lens received, exactly as described and very well packed. As always, a pleasure doing business with LennyBloke.

I think it's a good idea, except that the zip will be very uncomfortable around the neck, even turned upwards. Long hair will catch in it.

I have a neoprene case that wraps around a DSLR and lens and would provide just as good protection, and it cost a fiver.

It's a really stunning photo. I wouldn't buy a camera with a fixed 28mm equivalent lens as it's too wide for me, but I've seen plenty of evidence that it's capable of extremely good photos in the right hands.

All K-mount lenses will fit the K30. The only problems you will encounter are the Ricoh pin (on some old Ricoh lenses) and the extra-long flange (on some old Vivitar and possible other brand lenses). You can look up the details of these on the internet or on these forums, but they're quite rare.

The M42 mount is sometimes referred to as the Pentax screw mount (or something similar) and these lenses can be used very well with K-mount SLRs using an adapter.

The Q does not have a micro 4/3 mount, it has a Q-mount.

The two features I'd like to see on the K60, as compared to the K50, would be the return of the top LCD and battery grip. If they do that, I'll buy one for sure.

I imagine the DA* lenses will get a make-over - DC to replace SDM motors, but maybe not much else.

I'm sorry to hear this, it sounds like it was very tough at the end. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

I think we need to know the level of automation she wants, and if size and weight are important.

Congratulations! You'll be glad in years to come you got some nice photos of the occasion, I think for someone who knows how to use one well, a DSLR is a must for an event like this.
