A 54MP FF sensor would have about the same pixel density as the 24MP APS-C sensor in the K3, so I see no reason why it couldn't be made with current technology.

A FF 54MP sensor arriving to make sure the new 645D is quickly out-classed in resolution

Smeggy, Nothing wrong with B&H,
Apart from their website operation.

I was travelling to the US and needed to order a couple of items to be shipped to my hotel. You cannot order on the website on (UK times) Friday Evenings, Saturday or into the early hours of Sunday. I needed it shipping on the Monday to be with me on Tuesday or Wednesday. As I was travelling and NO access to any form of connection on Sunday and Monday, I could not order until I arrived in the US late on the Monday and it could not be delivered in time.

Why do they need to turn off their website capability? Or is it really a person at the other end?
B&H won't ship to hotels. My visit to NY coincided exactly with passover, and as it's Jewish owned and run, it was closed for exactly the 8 days I was there. Very bad luck, as I wanted to get something that can only be bought there. I tried to order it to be delivered to my hotel so it would be there when i arrived, but no luck, they refuse to deliver to hotels, so they lost my business.

I'm not a FF fantasist, but it's interesting that the telezoom states * but not "DA".

The map is still missing what Pentax really needs: DA* fast primes of 16mm, 24mm, 35mm.

I'm surprised to see a film copier being produced. It looks like a good one, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's very expensive.

Optically these are the same as the still photo lenses, maybe the apertures are stepless for these?

The P30 is a great camera and ideal for someone starting off in film. I already have two and a P30N, so I've no neeed for more, I'm afraid.

This lens is a funny beast. It's sharp even wide open, with great contrast and capable of producing pictures with a nice 3D "pop"

However...

1. Many copies are said to front focus or back focus, and perhaps by different amount depending on the focal length it's set to

2. There is said to be quite a wide variance in quality control, so some copies may be sharper than others

3. I also use mine on a K200D, and certainly with that camera, focus is often wrong. The K200D does not have the most reliable AF, so I blame the camera more than the lens.

With a good copy, when it performs well, the lens is excellent and very useful, but it can be tricky.

That's some classy photography.

If someone wants to take each photograph and start a thread each for caption competitions, I've got some great ones already...

I think we can expect it to mutiply the effective focal length of a lens by 1.4.
