I have found "scanning" B&W negatives with my DSLR later requires very little PP. I don't have any slides to try. I've tried with colour negatives but not found a way to remove the orange mask of the film, so I rely on my Epson V500 for colour scans, but it does a very poor job, at least on 135. I can't understand why no-one has released software yet to remove the orange mask of colour negatives scanned in this way.

Remember that you will be trusting all your gear to this tripod. Many positive reviews may be for little P&S cameras, not heavy DSLRs with big lenses.

The handgrip lights could be used to indicate time remaining for a self-timer shot, though i suspect green would be less visible than red, and the current system of faster beeps just before the shot works fine already.

I think this is a handsome camera, but the lack of top LCD and (probably) grip option would still prevent me from buying it.

I agree that no harm can come from everyone knowing the city/town name.

Having said that, between buying and selling things here, half the forum probably has either my Spain or UK postal address already anyway.

I haven't used one of these, but based on the reviews it does seem to perform worse than a Takumar 55mm f/1.8 or f/2 (both of which I have and are superb).
