These look pretty good to me - good contrast, nice & sharp.

I've never used Orwo 100 or even seen it for sale anywhere.

If there's no "A" setting on the aperture ring, the aperture will always be wide open unless using "M" (manual) mode on the camera.

I always shoot in M mode with my old lenses (and often with my new ones too, due to the K200D's erratic metering).

Built by Cosina along with loads of other cheap cameras .....

Go for a top model such as the MZ-S or Z-1p

The P30s were built by Cosina? That's the first time I've heard that. The DOF preview action is exactly the same as on the Super A, was that Cosina too?

At the Madrid photo-walk there was a grand total of three Pentaxians among the 40-odd turnout. I had my Super-A (which let me down), the MX and also a Nettar 6x6 folder. I was the only one shooting film. The other two both had K5s, one with 18-135 and an old Tamron zoom and the other person with the DAL 35/2.4.

I was pleasantly surprisedat seeing two others, and this slightly tempered my disappointment at what was to have been my main camera for the day playing up.

I'm always glad to see someone else start using film cameras. These two are perhaps not the most celebrated but they're both excellent choices.

I signed up to a Scott Kelby photo walk on Saturday. More info here:

http://kelbyone.com/photowalk/

I think I will go with only a couple of film SLRs (Super A and one other yet to be decided) and B&W film.

Anyone else going to be joining in in their area?

I'd never order a camera from abroad without a European warranty. Too much potential to be left hugely out of pocket if something goes wrong.

Still, makes you think how much more we pay over here. I think a significant price reduction on the K3 is overdue.
