I don't think he's exaggerating about the response of some to the Pentax Lump Of Plastic (PLOP). If anything he's erring on the conservative side.

I'm still enjoying my new K3 and old film cameras and will not be considering purchasing a PLOP.

I use Microsoft ICE, which is very effective and free, but I think newer versions of Photoshop can do it too.

I think the 28mm is reputed to be quite good too, and should be superior to the kit lens with the possible exception of flare control, which older Sigmas were quite poor at. For landscapes, if you want wider, then you can always stitch multiple shots together. I do that quite frequently.

I use a 32 gig Toshiba FlashAir in my K3 and it's wonderful. I use it to send photos to my phone so I can send them immediately to friends via Whatsapp or uplaod them to FB. Much better than using the phone's camera.

Pentax and Tokina collaborated on many of the early DA lenses, but I'm not sure there's any evidence that they have done so since then.

This seems like quite a good deal, I haven't seen it this cheap before. Still a lot of money for 16GB and wifi though.
