The Toshiba Flash air card will allow you to download shots wirelessly from any camera that takes SD cards. I have two. They work well. You'll be able to raise the camera, trigger it remotely using a Pentax remote, then view the results on a smartphone app.

Sorry for your loss.

Replacement? The answer is the K-S1 + a Ltd (or Ltd's) of your choice, which can be spread around your pockets, so no baggage allowance issues!!!

Great IQ, light, APSC sensor, uses all your lenses and it's still a Pentax!

Never mind all the nay sayers. I think mine is great, disco lights and all, and it's a proper camera - has a viewfinder.😀

The 100 will give you a greater working distance between you and the subject, which I prefer for outdoors.

The 50 is great for still life subjects which obviosuly can't be 'spooked' by you getting too close - jewellery for example.

That said, your 200-300 range lenses will give you good close-ups of flowers, etc, although not 1:1.

If you're in or close to London pm me; I have the 35, 50 and 100 macros if you want to give them a try.

Thanks Derek. I prefer 'false colour' images, although the b&w are good.

I like it. Not your usual IR shot.

Link to the other forum please? Like to give this a try.

Terrible! Horrible!! I hate the place!!!!!

Just when I thought I'd got over a trip to NZ a few years ago, you remind me of all the great places and scenes.

My wife and I spent 6 weeks driving around both North and South Islands. We could have done the whole trip much quicker, but the frustration was every time we drove round a bend we had to stop to gawp at a new, fabulous, vista! We didn't have enough time to visit all the nooks and crannies, despite trying hard.

Loved the countries and the people. I say 'countries' because many Kiwis I spoke to insisted that North and South Islands were so different in many respects that they might as well be different countries, and after the trip I could see why. South Island for me was miles and miles of open space; North Island much more urban. Loved both, but preferred South Island.

If anyone's thinking of going to NZ, do it. Life's too short and can often get in the way of your dreams. If you are planning to go, do South then North, because most people do North then South. Car hire companies need to get their cars back up from Canterbury to Auckland so are prepared to strike a deal if you're doing it for them. We got a free ferry crossing from South to North.

PS. Great shots.

I'm told the puffins get really up close and personal, so I'd say any of the lenses you listed, but there's not many in the list, so why not take them all?
