My New Zealand photobook.
Oh well - maybe one day
A beautiful set of images - very well done indeed

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more
Just when I thought I'd got over a trip to NZ a few years ago, you remind me of all the great places and scenes.
My wife and I spent 6 weeks driving around both North and South Islands. We could have done the whole trip much quicker, but the frustration was every time we drove round a bend we had to stop to gawp at a new, fabulous, vista! We didn't have enough time to visit all the nooks and crannies, despite trying hard.
Loved the countries and the people. I say 'countries' because many Kiwis I spoke to insisted that North and South Islands were so different in many respects that they might as well be different countries, and after the trip I could see why. South Island for me was miles and miles of open space; North Island much more urban. Loved both, but preferred South Island.
If anyone's thinking of going to NZ, do it. Life's too short and can often get in the way of your dreams. If you are planning to go, do South then North, because most people do North then South. Car hire companies need to get their cars back up from Canterbury to Auckland so are prepared to strike a deal if you're doing it for them. We got a free ferry crossing from South to North.
PS. Great shots.

Going from South to North Island might be a bit of a letdown. The South is so much more impressive, not that the North Island is a slouch by any measure!
Going to have a look at the book now.

Hit me where it hurts aye?
I'm presently sitting in my office right here.

You're two hours drive from the vineyards of Martinborough. That disqualifies you from complaining about anything

True.
And snow
And Sun
And a weekend escape
And Wine as you say
Just trying to plan a one or two night mystery trip with the family now. Did New Plymouth last time and it was great, but it's heading into Winter now, so trying to sort more indoor activities.
