So, I could wander around in an open space with my camera, and use my own legs, car, etc to get there and back if distant from my home.

There is a debunked theory that if you keep the lenses on a charged camera and give them a spin every so often, that they will keep working. Like I say, it's a theory which has been refuted so take it with a pinch of salt.

Still saying £585.44 for me. Can see a used one at £559 from Amazon Warehouse but I'll keep an eye, maybe I'm looking at a cached page or something, thanks Kea.
I looked at the price and missed that it is a used camera.
