A very good alternative to the D-BG5 Battery Grip in boxed mint condition. Just purchased with a K3ii from a fellow forum member but I have no need for it.

I think you might. K3iis gobble up batteries so quick it isn't true!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I think it depends on how much time you spend " chimping " reviewing and deleting shots in camera as well as any live view usage.

I do very little of these and don't think my K3ii eats batteries quickly, certainly no more than my K1 and I regularly go a full days shoot without changing batteries, I do use a grip on both so have 2 batteries to use.

For me a grip is a grip, i.e. to improve handling in certain circumstances, so sometimes I use one, sometimes not. The ability to increase battery capacity is a plus. Don't overlook the fact that a single battery can be used in the grip, leaving the body battery compartment empty.
