Interesting issues in this thread.

FWIW I shoot RAW + JPEG, using the RAW files as negatives and the JPEGs as prints.

If I don't like the 'prints' I can always go to the 'negatives' and reprocess them.

If I don't have the 'negatives' I can't.

Are you in a position to return the new drive? If so, perhaps a 3Tb external hard drive connecting via USB could be the answer.

That's said, I've just invested in a 2x3Tb NAS unit. Absolutely brilliant!

Thanks Sarah, and welcome to the Forum!

I take it you're using the paid for 'Pro' version? Is it worth it, as in 'would you buy it again'?

Pentax O-FC1 FluCard 16GB

Interesting conversion rate ... normally I see the $ to £ like for like pricing as just one of those things but that really is taking the p**s
And yet, the forthcoming HD 1.4x converter is $599.95 at B&H, £379 at SRS.

As the Americans so, 'go figure'.

That might have been someone's personal experience. Why not ask your insurers to confirm the position re cameras, etc, in writing?

You'll find there will be conditions depending upon the insurers, so best to know what they are.

Some will be financial limits on a claim, some will be circumstances in which the camera was kept, i.e. in a car boot, etc.

Got it, thanks!

Presumably you download and extract the new firmware, then 'scan' the SD card with this software?
