I could be wrong but, I'm not sure it's as simple as that, if it was the speed or lack of available light then I would imagine that it would hunt for focus. In reality it's totally dead on bodies using SDM, it would be interesting to see if a camera such as the *ist D could use it being pre- SDM:

OK, thanks all for the interest, much appreciated. I've spent the last 3 days or so getting my car through the MOT, lying on the floor in the freezing temperatures, not good at my age! I'll get around to getting photos, details and prices up as soon as possible, hopefully by Sunday.

Today is the first time I've had any real time to myself, even then I fixed a friends PC who is in a similar situation to myself and needs the PC to find a job. I did list a few items that I would also like to sell so that's a start.

Could I ask you to not PM me for a day or so and please, please don't make me offers of money without even seeing the items. It's flattering but foolish IMHO, no offence meant, all in good time.

Not received yet, I'm withdrawing the 16mm Sigma due to technical issues with the mount. I've noticed in the past it can sometimes be reluctant to mount on the camera (depending on the camera) the mount seems to be slighter thicker than a genuine Pentax lens and needs investigation.

For sale, my Pentax AF400FTZ flash, cased with hard to find FWA wide adapter, showing a few minor scuffs cosmetically, nothing serious. Tested yesterday evening in full working order. The little cover from the bottom where the sync lead connects is missing (see photos) but has no affect on performance, purely cosmetic.

For sale is my Teleplus 2x MC7 t/c, mint-, includes both genuine lens caps, had very little use. The converter will work with screwdrive AF but not SDM and I presume not HSM but have no way of testing. It's one of the better 7 element, multi-coated converters and always gave good results. Often copied and re-badged variants exist but this is the genuine article.
