FS: Pz-AF 2x TELEPLUS MC7

For sale is my Teleplus 2x MC7 t/c, mint-, includes both genuine lens caps, had very little use. The converter will work with screwdrive AF but not SDM and I presume not HSM but have no way of testing. It's one of the better 7 element, multi-coated converters and always gave good results. Often copied and re-badged variants exist but this is the genuine article.

Why will this converter not work with SDM? It has the necessary contacts to drive SDM. Is it just because of the lower light throughput ie. two stops lost, or is there a fault with the contacts?

Only converters upto 1.7x will work with sdm due to the light limitation...

I could be wrong but, I'm not sure it's as simple as that, if it was the speed or lack of available light then I would imagine that it would hunt for focus. In reality it's totally dead on bodies using SDM, it would be interesting to see if a camera such as the *ist D could use it being pre- SDM:
