Yeah, it was shot from really low down. So even with correction - the perspective would still be the same in those images then eh?

I asked the question in a topic a while ago, do I sell,or keep. I've taken the advice of the masses. Well, 19 to 2 in favour of selling anyway. Of course, it could have been pwynnej logging in using several aliases.

The Sigma 8-16mm is now out in Canon & Nikon mount so I'd expect some reviews to show up soon. No timescale on the Pentax mount though as far as I'm aware.
I'm guessing that may be too wide for landscapes though & would be better suited to an urban environment when space is at a premium.

The Pentax DA 12-24mm shows a pretty good distortion characteristic for an ultra-wide zoom lens. At 12mm there's a relatively pronounced degree of slightly wavy barrel distortions (~2.1%) which decrease continuously when zooming towards the long end of the zoom range where the lens is basically free of distortions.
It's very difficult to correct wavy distortion IMHO and 2.1% is quite barrel distorted
The Sigma AF 10-20mm EX DC showed a rather unusual distortion characteristic. At 10mm most of the image field is almost free of distortions so the measured distortions figures look fairly fine here (taken a little inward from the borders). However, this is only part of the truth. If you check the 10mm distortion chart below you will notice that the extreme corners are actually quite (barrel-)distorted - probably in the 2-3% range.
There's virtually no detectable distortion at 12mm, even at 10mm you only need a very slight crop if distortion is visible. I'm not knocking the DA, the resolution, contrast and colour fidelity is truly excellent.

Another vote for the DA* 16-50 from me.
I have always been a prefered prime user, but I bought the 16-50 last year, and now it rarely leaves the camera, it is that good.
