All those updates also improve stability and fix bugs.
In fairness, there's a chance an update may introduce bugs or instability.

I think mine is too. It's a fairly bulky, heavy lens and I haven't really used it much.

Thanks Peter, very well executed. You have inspired me to get my 67 and 75mm shift lens out, I have a scene I'd like to try out, it will be a vertical shot (I was hoping to use the WLF for better framing - but not with a vertical).

I remember reading somewhere (the lens manual perhaps), that you may not want to dial out all the convergence, but to leave a smidgeon in for effect.

Which shift lens is it? The K28/3.5 apparently has a gelatine filter clip at the back: link - not suggesting the filter might be easy to get though!

In this case the foreground interest really adds to the image, well done for picking that vantage point.

If I ever get my Intrepid 4x5 going, I might try some infra-red - can't see me using a whole roll in any sensible timeframe, although I do have a couple of expired Ilford SFX200 somewhere.

It's worth pointing out that the Super-Tak 28 came in two versions with different filter thread diameters. The early one was 58mm, the later one 49mm:

The benefit of USB charging is a real advantage once you're away from mains power or travelling, particularly if you could charge the battery in the grip without swapping them round?

When I bought my GR I was concerned about it, but it hasn't been a problem and helps when travelling.

You can always buy a charger if you need too.

If a prospective buyer doesn't want the case, I'll happily by that (mine is in much worse condition).

The Spotmatics were built to use a mercury battery (PX400/V400PX/RM400)of 1.35v, as were many other cameras of the time.
Note though that the Spotmatic F used a different battery, a PX625. IIRC this is also the battery used in the square clip on meter for the SV etc series.

After too much fiddling around, I went for a replacement battery cover that takes the hearing aid batteries which are common and cheap as chips. The cover is pricey as it contains (unnecessary) electronics to adjust the voltage, but in the longer term it will be cheaper than Wein cells and easier to use. It also can be moved around my various varieties of Spottie.
This was my choice, especially as one camera had a missing battery cover. The original covers cost more than a full camera. Long version, the battery cover was welded to the baseplate by a leaked battery, I was able to get a replacement baseplate but without the cover.
