Just got 3 films back from testing my cameras, some ok, some not so ok..... But I like the feel that you get from the film pictures. Very retro. It's not all about sharpness and resolution!

In response to the original question, is it cheating to use Windows or X11 to control your computer? don't you have more exact control with a command line interface?
If Av is cheating, you'd better install DOS 6, just to be safe.
I do try with manual, but sometimes it's good to just shoot!

I love my K200D but the film cameras are really the hobby part, even though it does cost money for developing!

Seeing it was a Pentax I asked how much it was and was pleasantly surprised that the stall holder only wanted £20 for it. So, for that worth a punt?
So now I have a Pentax Program A in, as far as I can tell, good working order and in good condition with the original manual. Came with a SMC 'A' 1:4 35-70 zoom lens which seems to be a very usable set of lengths. Just about finished the test roll after photographing wet and cold medieval re-enacters on Sunday! Be interesting to see what the results are! Still a nice camera to hold and use but I can't find too much information about it other than it's the little brother of a "Super Program" model?
So is it any good? I hope so! Otherwise it's nice to have added to my small yet growing Pentax collection! THough the girlfriend is possibly less enthusiastic!

The ability to just pop into a shop and buy spare batteries is not something to be sniffed at especially if you are in the middle of nowhere!!

I have a Spotmatic F and remember my Dad teaching me to look at the little needle flapping about! Shame I think it's broken now.......

Also tested a Program A I bought in the local second hand market, seems to b fully working though the batteries may be starting to run out! Using the fully auto so I can see if there are any problems. A nice little camera with an SMC A 25-70 1:4 zoom on it that seems quite nice when I test it on the K200D! Well , we'll have to wait and see on that.......

I quite want one of these. Seeing as I think my 18-55 Mk II has some scratches on the lens and I have been seriously struggling with dust spots etc on the photos from it. I feel some dust may have gotten inside. Also seeing as I have the 50-200mm WR I should have the 18-55mm one too and really make the most of the K200's weatherproofing.
Hopefully can find the cash for it!!
