I'll probably put it back in a box and forget about it. Thanks for the info.
At least try it. Most 50mm primes, whatever the manufacturer, are pretty good.

I have a Chinon f1.7 Manual. I put it on my K10D and the camera will not take a shot in any of the modes, Tv Av Program, manual or anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I do not want to leave it in a cupboard as my wife bought it for me as a surprise while I was in hospital. She doesn't know anything about cameras just that I was looking for a 50mm f1.4/1.7 before the accident.

Practically new and large enough for DSLR, 2 lenses and bits and pieces. Unmarked and completley clean. Just big enough but compact enough not to get in the way! The tripod is sound in all respects and has a built in spirit leveland a hook on the centre columb to add weight in windy conditions.

Open to offers of a swap for PENTAX DSLR related items. Just drop me a line if you need more details. If you would like me to call you then give me a landline number via PM and I will call you back as soon as I get the message, alternativly you can call my skype number just ask for it via PM.

I am now thinking about whether or not to enter one of mine. There is a different theme each week. If I can get the right shot for the theme then I will enter it! Not this week, it is too late now but for next week. I will go to the site and find out what next weeks theme is.

By the way, does ANYoNe know how to turn off cap locks permenantly? Is it just some sick joke that computer manufactrurers have perpetrated or does not being able to turn it off have a purpose?

Sorry but (I)t really irritates me.

Went to the camera club. Everyone was very welcoming and the competition was well organised.
Lots of different styles and subjects. Vast amounts of experience in that room. I think I am in the right place to learn about photography.

Some sites do not allow yuou to hot link from them. Find out if this is the case beofre you go through getting the HTML right. If the host does not allow it then you will be frustratged and think you are doing it wrong and it could take ages to figure it out as you do not even know to ask the question, "does this site allow you to hot link from images".

Took this with the K10D and the 18-55 kit lens at my brothers wedding. Edited it in Silkypics 3.
I wish I could get the background a bit more out of focus, but it prints ok at A3. (I did not own the 70-300 lens at that time).I do not know how to copy the EXIF data from SP yet but as soon as I do I will post it. The camera was simply set to auto everything. No skill required on my part thankfully!

I just need to know I can run it on one pc at a time. I like to keep updated with my hardware, but I will not pay again for software I have already bought just on principle.
If it is the case that I vcan transfer the software to a new pc whenever I upgrade hardware then they need to state that clearly to avoid confussion. I was just wondering if anyone on the forum had actually tried to do this and if so what was the outcome?
I agree that it would be unimaginable but the potential for unfairness in this world seems almost boundless and if a company has not stated in writing that something is so then it would be wise to question it until they do state it in writing one way or the other. I will hang on to my money for now until they decide what they want to do.
