I'll be buying some Tri-x once my Acros and Ilford Panf are used up. Got 2 rolls of Acros and 10 rolls of Panf. Tri-x though is definitely next on my list of films to purchase. I've also got 8 rolls of Ektar and 10 rolls of Portra to try out sometime but really enjoying black and white at the moment

I recently purchased a Pentax 645n (medium format film) and I've been on a course developing my own black and white negatives. It's all good fun. One thing I live about the 645n it's a big loud proper sounding camera (if that makes sense). Hopefully, weather permitting I'll be out and about to shoot some more film soon These were using Fuji Acros 100 black and white film. My next batch will be with Ilford Panf 50.

Considering getting one of these to keep in the car when I don't bring my dslr or film cameras. Currently using a Nikon D7000 and Pentax 645n. I think for the money (now down to £169 from wex) it's a lot of camera for the money. I'm also considering moving to Pentax in the future. I might purchase a K30 with kit lens to see how I get on with the Pentax dslr system and move up to a K5ii in the future. Friend of mine uses a K-x and I swear his metering system is better than my D7000, go figure If I like the k-30 then I'd probably sell my Nikon gear and move to Pentax but get a k-5 or k-5ii.

Hi all,

As some of you are aware I recently purchased a Pentax 645n with a 45mm f2.8 FA lens and a 80-160mm f4.5 FA lens. What's impressed me the most with a Pentax system is the metering. Every negative come back with almost perfect exposure. I currently shoot with a Nikon D7000 but I'm very tempted to switch to Pentax completely after my experience of using the 645n. Maybe sell all my Nikon D7000 and lenses and purchase a k5 or k5ii

Here are the first couple of negatives scanned using an Epson V600. The film is Kodak Ektar.

Make sure you post some images when you get them. Good luck with your latest MF adventure.
I will do thanks Jonathan. Now I just need to do some research on what shutter release cable to get

Just to keep you all posted, I've just purchased the 645N with 45mm FA 2.8 lens to get started. Thanks for all your help it's been very much appreciated. I'll look to purchase myself a portrait lens in the future. Most of my photography with this camera (around 85%) will be mainly landscapes so feel the 45mm 2.8 FA is a great starting lens as it was the 45mm lens I used when I shot with a Mamiya 645 Pro.

Hopefully it won't be to long in arriving and I can get out and shoot some Ektar and Portra

I live in Tywyn on the west coast of Wales. There used to be a camera club here a few years back but as far as I'm aware there isn't one any more. I would love to join one but it's a matter of finding one within a certain distance. I'll have to keep looking into finding a camera club

I'm off the weekend of 2nd November so if possible I'll make it up there. Hopefully I'll have my 645N ready to rock and roll
