Is this a common problem with the 55-300mm lens? I ask because I was seriously thinking of ordering one from SRS in the next few days. It gets good reviews on other fora (forums??). I am now having second thoughts. I had persuaded myself aginst being lazy see link even though the 18-250mm also gets good reviews, the £100 difference in price swung me toward the 55-300mm.

Ah well.

I am considering the 18-250mm as a walkabout lens to avoid having to change lens and so that I don't carry another lens when I go on holiday.
A few weeks ago George (Lazarette) you said that you would not consider such a lens - why? What do other people think about such a lens? The other lens I am considering is the 55-300mm. Any opinions on that?

Definitely of interest. Like it and congratulations. But why does a pub in Trearduur Bay have a picture of Penmon on its wall??? Was in Trearddur Bay yesterday about 1:30 - could not stop - no room to park. Neither was there any room in Porthdafarch! Where were you?

Must try and remember to go and see it sometime.

Herewith is a link to my image

in the top 20 in a competition run by the Guardian Group of local papers in the NW. This is run to coincide with the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park. These 20 images will be on display in the Guardian's marquee at the show to be judged by the visitors.
I have no idea how many entries were received but I was quite pleased and surprised to get this far. The 1st prize is £100.

I would be interested in your opinions.

Thanks, Martin, for the reference to Maxalt in the other posting, that is the only thing that stops migraines for me and only if I catch it early. I hope your wife does not suffer too often with them.

I was trying to get into the "Gallery" and "JR competition". I went back and tried again and lo and behold it worked. But I'm not really sure what I did.

Help!!!

I'm trying to upload an image as a test and it's taking ages and ages. I've tried from photobucket as I used to and I had to do "Ctrl+Alt+Del" to kill it - twice i tried but no luck. Then I tried direct from my hard disk - same result. I'm on my work PC which is a fast machine with a very fast broadband connection. I'm worried as to how long it will take on my slow connection at home.

What am I doing wrong?
