Was the camera you wanted in a bundle?
If not it was probably bought by some one with a bigger wallet.
I suffered this some months ago trying for a lens( thread here) and found the only way was to hope and pray!

Yes it happened to me a while ago but it was more than likely my fault as I had had the sceen out for cleaning a few days previously.

Just ten shots into the walk I decided to change lens to get some duck shots when my viewing screen came out with the lens.
Fortunately nothing was lost, but I had to wait 'till I got home before I could replace it in the camera.
Still, I had my P30 with me so I had to use that, although it'll be a while before I get the film developed.
Has anybody else had this happen?

Hefty and Womble, you DO mean a real Pentax flash unit don't you?
Not those bargain ones you got from ebay at Xmas?

This is the first time I've seen this poll and guess what the leader is?
That's without my vote.

I was just looking for a 4gig SDHC card, the proprosed new cards seem WAY too big!
It's bad enough when a hard drive fails but loosing 2TB on an SD card sized device would be devastating!
