New bidder won one of my items, failed to pay or respond so I opened a dispute.
The guy never responded to anything, no problem there then.
Except paypal still took their fees for a transaction that never happened! :
After 10 days if the buyer does not respond you can claim the seller fees back (not the listing fee).

Do I need another camera?

Pentax could use the fact that all lenses would fit (and work) on a manual body. It's worked for over 30 years now and we still buy new lenses.
Pentax have everything there, technology, experience and a solid customer base. they could do it and keep the costs down.

Comparing the size of the optio to a film body only the sensor would seem to put thickness on, allowing for a standard 'K' mount fitting.
With the modern circuits and thin screens it would be possible, heck my old Sony Cybershot U is only the size of 2 35mm film cartridges, and that's 7 years old!
Without a power focus the camera could be powered by a single Optio type battery, I think that's the L17 unit.

I was sat with my MES and Optio E50 next to me and started wondering why Pentax don't do a manual focus digital body the same size(ish) as the old 'M' series?
Not as daft as it sounds as many on here use their cameras in manual mode most of the time.
What do you think?

but the combination of our strong market position, solid relationships with suppliers and continuing cost reductions should ensure that Jessops is in the best position operationall
Is he on this planet?:
And when does the closing down sale start? I need a cheap ruck sack.

I haven't been into a Jessops since November last year, even then they were struggling to shift boxes. I asked about price match and was told no chance, so I ordered online and thought stuff Jessops.
It's a shame that the morons who they employ are so blinkered in their view of photography, or is that in the job description?

Sadly when things do go wrong there is No Saving Throw for the seller...
So far I've been lucky.
As for dealers, I'm currently watching 3 MEF cameras, all three have dealer bids and the last 2 that I watched went for far more than I wanted to pay. An unknown body with a faulty shutter went for £41, if it worked OK, but the vendor was honest and said he didn't know if it was OK.
The buyer had 300+ feed back as a buyer, non as a seller. This guy must be stocking a shop with these kind of figures.
I don't mind being outbid, but when the other bidder is WAY over the odds it spoils everything ebay is supposed to stand for.
Oh and a lot of european dealers are starting to bid on UK items now, weak pound and all makes it worth while for them!
