I use a mix of lenses on my K200d, including M and A 50mm, 135mm and 28mm primes. The results with older Pentax glass is superb.

I only use modern 'digital' zooms though, I'm not convinced by older lenses in this field.

If you want to use M42 mounts get a proper Pentax adaptor, the cheaper ones don't always keep focus to infinity. I would recommend old Ziess glass as well as Takumars on the M42 mount.

In the end it comes down to what you've got and what you want, so just play and enjoy.

Oh yes! I use a mix of 512mb, 1gb and 2gb cards, depemds what's empty at the time.

Using the 18-55mm on a film camera isn't such as good idea as it is only designed to cover the area of the APS-C sized sensor. At wider apertures and wider angles you could expect some vignetting. The lack of an aperture ring would also be very restrictive, although Program and Shutter Priority modes could be expected to work OK.
See this link

It shows some examples.

My K200 has spent most of this week being lugged around various parks in the snow, total reliability!

Mind it is fitted with a battery grip!

Aw!

And I thought Fuji had a new film range.

Anyway, the scanned neg you did Gartmore looks great, if B+W scans have that sort of grain I might try some myself.

I think having a 35mm camera will force me to think a great deal before I take shots; and I think I'll be the better for it.
I've mentioned this before in other topics, I find you look more at the shot with film, if it's not 100 per cent you don't take it.

It does improve your eye for composition.

Yes it would, and it didn't come from Jessops.

It should be, but be VERY careful.

From past experience the contacts are spring loaded and are easy to lose when you lift the mount off.
